Miami Valley Steel Service is currently working on updating all of our trucks with the latest GPS technology, a requirement by D.O.T. for all commercial trucks by late 2017.   

This GPS system provides us up to the second information regarding our MVSS company trucks.  Our newest Volvo trucks came equipped with a factory installed system which includes an app for the drivers to complete both electronic logs on their phones and diagnostics on the trucks. Our existing trucks were retrofitted with a similar aftermarket GPS system, so now all seven of our trucks have similar capabilities.

Our Traffic Department can use the system to obtain information regarding the location, stops made, time of travel and time spent at each stop, routes taken, and speed traveled, etc. We believe this system will enhance the high level of customer service provided to our many customers!
